Mindfulness, Acceptance & Compassion Skills for Health Professionals
September 20-22 -- October 25-26, 2013 (2 weekends and 5 Wednesday evenings)

Over these 2 weekends and 5 weekly phone dialogues, participants will be exposed to Mindfulness, Acceptance and Compassion Skills for their personal and professional care. They will be encouraged to practice the skills learned and will learn about the growing evidence-based research that supports the benefits in specific areas of physical and mental health care.

Mindfulness for Professionals: A Foundational Training
October 24 - December 12, 2011
Monday evenings, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. 
The Providence Renewal Centre, Edmonton, AB
Join workshop leaders Catherine L. Phillips MD FRCP(C), Neil Mulholland PhD, and Shreyasi Gollapudi MD as we explore, sequentially develop and implement a variety of formal and informal mindfulness practices. This 8-week course is designed for professionals wishing to practice and embody mindfulness as a first step to integrating it into a work setting. This includes physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, therapists, counsellors, educators, lawyers, and other professions. 
Fee: $695 CDN + GST/ $200 CDN + GST (medical interns, residents, and health sciences students with copy of current student ID)

Mindful Parents, Resilient Children: Parenting in a Rapidly Changing World

International Conference on Mindfulness with Youth: Helping Children (K-12) Develop Mindful Awareness Inside the Classroom and Out

Join leading international scholars and teachers at The Banff Centre for a weekend of learning, rejuvenation and community as we explore and share means of bringing the practice of mindfulness and its benefits to our youth today. Faculty include neuroscientist and author Dan Siegel, MD, (keynote speaker), Gina M. Biegel (MBSR-T, Stressed Teens), Randye Semple (MBCT-C), and others. This conference is currently undergoing approval for C.E. credits by the Canadian Psychological Association.
